Hi, I'm Joseph Sun, a high school senior passionate about neuroscience, brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), and making complex science accessible to everyone.
At school, I founded the Biochemistry club to help students explore neuroscience and biochemistry through hands-on experiments, peer-led lectures, and interactive discussions. But in the process of doing so, I realized one thing: it was hard. Creating lecturers and kahoots had me diving deep in complex scientific journals and papers, scrambling to understand what words like "prolonged myeloablation" and "hematologic malignancies" were. It felt overwhelming, and there wasn't anyone to guide me through that first year.
Now, as a senior, I want to make sure other students don't have to struggle the same way I did. Alongisde a fellow team of neuroscience enthusiasts, I've created a pre-made set of over 40 presentations, lecturers, and Kahoots designed to give new neuroscience clubs a running headstart. By sharing these resources, I aspire to make it easier for others to explore the wonders of the brain without getting bogged down in jargon or spending countless nights deciphering Nature research papers.
